RA-SE Genetics gilts are selected for the best economic performance in “farrow to finish” herds. The economic relevance of more uniform piglets at weaning changes our emphasis in breeding. A higher weaning weight results in reduced mortality and improves the uniformity and the value of the slaughter pigs. The focus on the capacity to produce higher weaning weights and more litters per year maximizes the number and total weight of piglets produced.

This selection strategy resulted in two EASY2MANAGE gilts: MIRA and CORA.

Producers with MIRA or CORA gilts achieve better economic results in intensive farming, thanks to the highest farrowing index and a uniform, leaner and faster growing offspring.
