The technical performance in pig production moves very fast. Latest research results from GENTEC to improve quality and important economic traits are immediately implemented into the RA-SE Genetics nucleus breeding programmes. Through collaboration with the Universities of Liege, Leuven and Ghent, GENTEC has a strong research platform to continue working from. GENTEC is co-owner and inventor of the application of IGF2 technologies applied in many modern swine breeding programmes worldwide.

GENTEC, a biotech R&D company providing biotechnical tools for animal breeding. These tools are developed in the field of molecular genetics and embryo transfer technology. GENTEC performs marker-assisted selection for pig breeding companies worldwide. Feel free to browse our site GENTECWEB.COM, if you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to contact us:

RA-SE Genetics is partner of the European FP7 project “RTD2Farm”. RTD2Farm has a simple, yet effective strategy to increase the uptake of RTD results by livestock farmers. For more info:

RA-SE Genetics is partner of the European FP7 project “PIGENDEF”. In the PIGENDEF project, the three most common congenital genetic defects are studied: scrotal/inguinal and umbilical hernia, and cryptorchidism. The PIGENDEF project focuses on the rapid identification of variation in genes underlying these congenital disorders in pigs for effective marker assisted selection. For more info:
